If you think by becoming a member of Fusion Southgate branch, you will have a chance to make regular swimming for over six days per week, you are wrong. Because they make your membership unpleasant to the extent that you will cancel your membership. This is because all they think about is money and you are replacing a full fee of some frequent swimmer, who is under the age of concession fee, with maximum payment( they have the capacity of 36 spaces for each session pre- booked and as a regular user you need to pre-book).
For any wrong reason that was not even explained correctly, I had to go to the end of the queue at the reception desk to be allowed in and at the same time they asked me to pay fine to reset the gate for automatic entry. After three consecutive days, I decided it was enough for me and gave them one month notice without using the pool. it cost me £36.00. When I complained to the Head office there was no other resolution than seeing me in the Southgate branch. I really think they owe me an apology. In conclusion, I think the Southgate branch works in three domains: extra financial demand (which is not explained clearly in terms and conditions), lack of customer service and intimidation of members of the club. Not to mention that the hygiene is the worst in my 20 years of using 5 different swimming centres. The shower block was dirty and the cubicles smelled of urine from time to time. There was not enough lighting in the changing room and therefore the cubicles with light on the ceiling were more frequently used and the ones without them may not be at all. The male changing room was so small that I had to use the communal changing room.
