My mum ordered me the 6x3ft wooden and polycarbonate greenhouse. The billyoh 4000. I was super excited and it was my birthday and Christmas present. States it will take two people a couple hours to put together. 2 days with two of us doing it and it still needed the doors fitting, and that was without painting it! The doors that are two inches too short. We had to hammer pieces together because they’d separated/never been put together properly. Nails had been put in wonky so they stuck out, some had split the wood, holes in the panels and trying to use the instructions was like following ones written by a three years old in crayon. Had to use sealant on all the holes, gaps and where the roof panels meet as there’s a massive gap between them. The instructions weren’t even included and I had to call and get them sent to me. The instructions don’t actually tell you what was to put the panels together which is very annoying and resulted in us putting it together and then having to take it apart and back together the right way round. If there where any pilot holes for the screws we’d of know which way round they went. We purchased the gutter kit with the green house at an additional £50, the gutter was warped, there where two pieces of 2m gutter, two hooks and two ends. No corner pieces, no way to join bits of gutter, no down pipe, and when we called to complain to them they didn’t even write it down, said they entered it into the computer but couldn’t say back to us what we just said to them. The gutter pieces they did send where also too wide to be used on the greenhouse. They make you pay extra for a ‘base’ that is 4 pieces of wood, for an extortionist amount of money, so we didn’t buy it, but what they don’t tell you is that if you don’t buy it it’s really difficult to get the greenhouse to sit square. It should be included but it’s not. It’s poorly made and I impossible to get the nails and screws in, even with us making pilot holes, to make the wood not split. Such poor quality. All the customer service team kept saying was ‘well it is a budget model’ personally, I don’t think over £400 is budget at all. I think we could of gotten a better build quality by buying on wish. And probably better customer service! And we all know how dodgey wish can be!
