If you are thinking of ordering from Garden Buildings Direct, please take the time to read this review it could save you 6 months of sheer hell. Day 1 Summer House ordered 31st March- Billy Oh Picton 8x8 corner summerhouse 11 weeks and 1 day later it arrived. Estimated build time is 4/5 hours, actual build time was 25 hours. This was due to almost every part being unusable in its current state, luckily we had the skills and the tools to try and make the best of a very bad situation. Now, you may think why not just stop the build and get the replacement parts, however its not that simple and honestly there is a limit of "issues" you will accept, so the first couple, you might think "oh not worth complaining lets carry on" and once the side panels are on, you are past the point of no return, its not rocket science, Garden buildings were unable to understand this point and we're like a broken record. The only solution they could offer was to send replacement parts, however this isnt possible when the parts in question are integral to the build, meaning the only way to replace them is to dismatle the whole thing and start again. This repsonse is not sufficent!. They even had the audacity to blame us for poor instalation without any evidence even though we invited them to come and see. Anyway, all this aside we STILL decided to try and live with it as it was already built and we had tried to rectify the quality issues and quite honestly I was bored of speaking to them and getting the same response. Then the rain came! The whole summer house leaked, not from the bits we put together but from their bits that they put together - every panel leaked, I broke my heart! I sent them over 15 photos and a video to prove that the summer house is just not fit for purpose. Finally they admitted perhaps it wasn't great! So in order to get a refund we had to dismantle the whole thing and send further photos to prove that every single part, nail, was ready for them to collect. Which I did. Did they collect it? No, did they collect it the second time? no! The most rudest individual turned up to collect it on an unspecified day, third times a charm!. I heard nothing! I then had to email to say can you confirm you have received it, oh yes they had received it and they are issuing a refund which I would receive in 14 days time. Did I receive it? No! I had to email AGAIN there's some issue with their systems, I finally got a refund on Saturday 6th September, after 6 months, at least 20 emails, 20 photos, 1 video and a dispute raised to the credit card company! If this isn't enough to put you off I do not know what is, this company is a complete joke, are they even legit???? Of course I had lots of summer house furniture I needed to rehouse so I had to bite the bullet and order another one, I did spend an extra £100 but I got THE best quality summer house, it took 5 hours to put together, not one replacement part needed, it was delivered within 3 DAYS!!!! it was colour co-ordinated all of the nails/screws were bagged and labelled, incredible for an extra £100 there was honestly no comparison! Sheds.co.uk you guys are legendary and put this shocking scam of a company to shame.
