If you need a temporary shelter to get you out of trouble you could do worse than a Garden Gear portable shed. This is really a flimsy frame with a tarpaulin over the top that covers the sides with front and rear tarps cable tied to the frame. Having a couple more braces on the sides and one at the rear of the frame would make it fairly strong rather than having to rely on the tarpaulin holding it tight together (it straps to the bottom rails of the frame). Many parts of the frame do not bolt together and will fall apart when you try to move them, it can be solved with gaffa tape but is not ideal. Wind will get underneath the structure, I folded the bottom of the tarps under the frame and placed logs on the inside of the bottom rails to hold it in place. I also placed logs around the outside at the bottom to stop the wind from getting underneath. This structure is waterproof but not watertight, water could get in at the front and rear where it relies on the flaps over the frame to keep the weather from the gaps. It's cheap compared to a proper shed, relatively easy to assemble if there are two of you and will do the job in the short term. Moisture will form on the inside in cold weather so any vulnerable items will need covering with sheets etc.
