We have car insurance through Allianz, we went to our online account to change our car (as we have purchased a new one). Straightforward process until we got to the ‘choose a date’ option for the change to take effect, as the system just did not allow us to move to the next level. This happened continuously. I did online chat, was informed to just change the registration number online, I refused as I would be putting a registration on a car, that it didn’t belong to!
A ticket was raised and informed it would be investigated and I would be contacted via email, 24 hours later and I am no further forward.
You are unable to speak with anyone over the telephone as this is an online insurance only, even when their system fails, there is no one you can speak to, as I was told today when I called the claims line.
I now have insurance for a car I no longer own, and am unable to transfer to my new vehicle that I also cannot collect!!!!!
The prices are competitive but honestly not worth the hassle when changes need made, and their system is at fault, and they literally have no one you can speak to, therefore no way to amend your policy.
