Do not use, horrible company who treat policy holders with black boxes fitted as mugs! We took this policy out for our sons first car and it feels like we are being threatened by bullies. We got a message to say if they detect another hard breaking incident they will cancel the policy. The policy was taken out in August 19 and they said 1 hard breaking incident was detected on the 11th October and the other on 17th December 19 which was when the car was in for its MOT and service , we proved the car was in the garage for 4 days surrounding that date and that it was being tested on a rolling road and had never left the garage premises but when we told them that was the case they said it was our responsibility to tell the garage the car has a black box fitted and therefore the warning has to stand and now he is on his last warning before cancellation so for 2 heavy breaking incidents (one not our fault) and the outcome means we could become uninsurable as one of the first questions you asked when applying for an insurance quote is, have you ever had a policy declined or cancelled. After being held in a que for over 20 mins and been in a disagreement for another 15 mins I needed to end the call because the person on the end of the call who was probably less than half my age was stuck for words when I said it would be more in my sons favour to not brake if somebody either pulled out in front of him or worse stepped out in front of him. I'm sorry but maybe it could be because I am in my fifties I do not get the mentality of today however, I would like to think that it is more a case of technology is taking over common sense and practicality.
