I was kind of shocked to see the reviews on Clements Worldwide Insurance as I had recently bought an insurance policy from them. However, I will leave my exact experience so that it would be fair to everyone.
I had taken a quote from the comparethemarket (meerkat's) website after comparing the details of a few similar quotations. Before I drove my car from the dealership, I called them and started my policy by quoting the reference number I got from comparethemarket.
They advised me well which made me making some alterations on the 'purpose' and 'assumed yearly milage' by paying some additional money than what I quoted. I must say, that all makes sense so that I could be in the safe side from the beginning. Following that discussion, I received an email asking for the documents they needed from me and I sent all documents except the V5C form as it took a few days for me to get it via the post. But I sent it later and everything was fine.
I do agree that they take a quite bit more time to respond to emails and maybe that is because they are an insurance broker company who sits between us and Lloyds. However, it would be nice if they could send us an acknowledgement so that we know that everything is in order.
However, I had to contact them again a few times to know a few things such as hardwiring a dash-cam (which I chose not to do anyway later planning to use the cigarette lighter socket instead). Initially, I had dial the Claims Department and they were very quick and responsive to pick up (which is a good sign from any customer's point of view). I mentioned that I just wanted to discuss the policy—then I was transferred to a few places and then to the amendment department. The service indeed was very pleasant and professional and they clarified all the details which I needed to get clarifications on.
Also, when I read through the policy information also I realised that they provide a good cover when you compare the most practical/potential things in a claim if you happen to make a claim at some point.
