Please avoid buying their insurance products at all cost. We have purchased the most comprehensive home and content insurance from them and the correct coverage for what we need. In April 2021 we had a terrible flood while we were away, and purely due to accidental breakage. I was intimidated over the phone and interrogated with acidic suspicion when I made a genuine claim. It took them three and half weeks just to accept liability, despite it being a very straightforward water damage claim. They initially advised us not to do anything to dry our property until they send their professional team, but they have been so slow that our house was going mouldy and we had to DIY something instead. Up to this date they have done absolutely nothing to dry our property, and still have not responded with a solid plan forward. I've had to chase them over every single step for the past 26 days and nothing helpful has been done yet apart from bureaucratic paperwork and pushing responsibilities around different departments. My physical and mental health suffered immensely just from dealing with them, and it should not have been such an unreasonably strenuous process. The fact that there's still so much uncertainly in how they behave and possibly a long struggle until our claim is resolved is extremely saddening.
