As I haven't needed to make a claim against this policy ( yet - touch wood !) I can't really say what they are like as an insurer.
The process of switching to them from my previous insurer was very straightforward, but that was as much to do with the ease of use of the Go Compare site as it was anything to do with the insurer themselves.
They did send me a £10 M & S voucher for taking out insurance with them - which was nice ! Never had that before from any other insurer.
