We have Home Insurance Extra policy with Legal and General. We had a problems with our boiler with no heating or hot water. We phoned to make a claim and was told an engineer would not be able to come out until a day later leaving us without heating or hot water which does not help when you have a 3 and 7 year old children. The engineer came out and said we had 'sludge' in our boiler plate and would contact the insurance company about changing this but would have to wait until after the weekend. We then got a phone call from Legal and General after midday 2 days later to say they do not cover the problem leaving us to find a plumber to get this fixed and still without heating or hot water. The guy on the phone said who he was and from Legal and General and explained that we were not covered and put the phone down. Appalling service and we will be cancelling our policy with them.
