I've been a customer of MCE for around 16 years and have, fortunately, never needed to use their services. However, despite this lack of use and supposedly ZERO cost to MCE, my premium payments invariably increase for each renewal. Also invariably, I check out the alternatives on Metasearch comparison sites and discover a far cheaper rate with MCE than my renewal quote. I saved £49 on a £159 renewal quote, so the percentage penalty for being a loyal customer is huge. No doubt I will continue to have to do this farcical action until such time as MCE value their existing business as much as their new. An inexplicable situation as the cost of new customer acquisition must be greater than the retention of loyal customers.
