This is my third year being insured with Motorcycle Direct. More than 6 weeks after renewing my policy the underwriters decided they needed more information from me. They sent me an email on 14th June marked 'Urgent Action Required On Your Policy' which alarmed me. I then opened a letter which gave no information other than to say they had been trying to contact me and to call the number provided. I did. They informed me the notes stated they had made attempts to contact me (but not how and no dates) and I needed to provide some documents which the underwriters had requested on 30th May. I asked them to provide information as to how they had attempted to contact me and to outline what information they required from me. They asked me to provide a few things including no claims information, which I explained they had. This was transferred to them over 2 years ago from another insurer and they had the information for the last 2 years. I have not made any claims. They said they would send me the information by post and I then had to return it to them. I asked them to put all of this in writing and they agreed to call me back as I had a work meeting at that time. I awaited their call within the designated timeframe and emailed them 3 times prompting information as requested. No response. So now I am going to spend a night worrying about my policy and what is going on. Not impressed. I attempted to find Live Chat and could not identify this on the website.
