I got young drivers insurance from the co-op when I first passed my test.
1 month before my insurance was for renewal, my windscreen got chipped. Being a new driver, I contacted the co-op straight away and was told they would get one of their 'approved repairers' out ASAP. I asked whether this would affect my NCD (bearing in mind I had a full comp policy), I was told it wouldn't.
A week or so later my insurance renewal came through and my premium had increased. When I phoned the co-op I was told the rise was because I had made a claim on my insurance and therefore had 0 years NCD!
Needless to say I didn't renew my policy.
My advice would be to STAY AWAY.
