I was told that I urgently had to get a smartbox installed even before the documents were uploaded. I did so and a month later they cancelled my insurance with one letter arriving two days before and was told that I had a speeding ticket which I had genuinely forgotten about. I thought fair enough and was prepared to pay more but was told no and they then said that they would charge 120 for cancellation and 90 for removal of smart box. I tried to complain but got nowhere. I also tried to change it to my husband's name as his name on log book but this was unacceptable and was told that I would need to pay all the money regardless of whether he took out policy or not.
Funny thing is that took like an hour to get an email to complain - they didn't want me to complain - wanted their own procedures - when I finally did I was told that if I send an email I have to also let them know. Worse car insurance experience - overcomplicated, money grabby and unhelpful.
