Please DO NOT buy from these scammers. I bought a phone from Gearbest recently It was advertised as free postage. I realised that when I proceeded to checkout the postage option changed from what was called priority line to DHL, at this point there was no other option but DHL. I thought nothing of it as it had already been advertised as free postage and there was no other option to chose from anyway. I got a txt message a week later from DHL seeking an extortionate amount to deliver the phone for what they claim to be import duty. As I say there was no mention whatsoever about this when ordering, only boasting free postage. I then checked the invoice to discover that gearbest charged £8 postage despite having advertised free postage. I am now in a situation where it seems I will have to lose the total amount already paid for the phone (and trick postage charge) or pay the additional extortion fee demanded by DHL to receive the phone. I have contacted Gearbest and they are refusing to refund or take any action claiming that this is between myself and DHL. Please avoid these careless scammers at all cost. You might think you are saving a few pounds, all you are doing is setting yourself up for a long wait, unexpected trick charges and extortionate 'duty' charges that are completely out of your control. Any ethical company would be ashamed of running such a scam
