Tonight, I had the misfortune of ordering from Gopuff! I’d ordered whilst on the bus home, to save a little time as I got the kids ready for bed. The driver had a stop before me, which wasn’t a problem. I received notification that I’m next but saw him drive back to depot, and then go back in the opposite direction to me. Delivery was then cancelled after an hour and went back to ‘order received’. When contacting support, ‘Jackson’ informed me it was because of high demand and limited drivers, offering a measly £1.99 delivery fee refund that I don’t pay anyway! Quite frankly an insult and Jackson has the people skills of a spade! When the second driver turned up, he was apologetic and explained that the previous driver had given one of my bags to the previous customer, which is a different story to what Jackson gave, who apparently lies for a living. Perhaps politics would have been the better career choice!
