I purchased this for several reasons: 1. I needed a backpack that was essentially waterproof and wanted a roll-top, 2. My family is working very hard to reduce our plastic use and we try to find products that are using recycled materials, 3. I have always been impressed with Dutch design, having spent a lot of time in the Netherlands, 4. Most importantly, the way I see it, improving the health of our Oceans is one of the most important things in the world. The Sea Shepherd cobranding was an additional draw. I am happy to say that this purchase ticked ALL of those boxes. It is worth noting that I did not even realize how great the removable laptop sleeve is -it is very well designed, allowing you to use the pack for daily work/commute/travel, or activities like shopping where you just want the entire cargo area available. I will be getting one of these for my wife as well.
