I was pleased with service from Grasslands, from whom I have bought 22 tonnes of gravel to re-lay my long drive; I bought it in 3 separate batches and did it bit by bit, so 3 separate orders. From the top: telephone ordering was polite and efficient. The quality of the gravel was excellent, every bit pretty much a uniform size. The delivery (a particular issue for me) was professionally done, each builders bag hooked on a forklift truck that came on the delivery lorry, so I could specify where to site the gravel bags (and hence drive my car past them until I got round to laying gravel). The only slight gripe was vagueness about delivery day, resolved by phoning. Overall, not the cheapest but worth paying slightly more for the quality of the gravel and the mode of delivery.
