I ordered two bags of 40mm purple slate chippings.
The product range was more extensive than at DIY chains
The price was cheaper and came in 500kg bags versus 850 kg
Delivery was cheaper and due to the use of a fork lift truck they were able to load onto a concrete platform at the end of the drive whereas most others stated kerbside drop only which would have entailed me to move it immediately, The driver was most helpful and friendly.
