I'm still a bit on the fence about this product. I love how straight smooth and soft my hair is and I don't need to flat iron it after every wash anymore, so that part would get five stars. However, my hair came out yellow/blonde after the treatment. Fortunately I don't mind the new color but it was unexpected. They advertise that as long as your hair hasn't been recently colored, like within 2 weeks, the keratin treatment will not affect the color but clearly this was not the case.
Also, when I used their Anti-grey Color Restore treatment before trying the keratin, it made my roots very dark brown, but now it is turning my roots burnt orange in places! It looks kind of like highlights so I think I'm still okay with it, but I'm not very taken with the unpredictability!
As far as applying the keratin treatment, I would do a couple of things different next time. I would comb out the excess product immediately after applying, not after the 90 minute wait. And I would cover my hair with a bag during the wait, as my hair got half dried and all clumped together. It was extremely difficult running (even a wide tooth) comb through it and it took me 1½ hours to flat iron. I ironed every section 12 times and after each section I also had to wipe excess product off my flat iron.
My hair has never been this straight, smooth and frizz-free before, so all in all it was worth it and I'm happy with it.
If Mayraki comments on my review at all, I would like them to address the color change issues, both by the keratin and the Anti grey afterwards.
