The Motorola HT1000 I have is in great condition and I was able to find a new battery on Amazon to restore it to full operational status, since I was contacted that no aftermarket batteries were available. However, there is only one problem and that is programming it. I have no idea how to program that and apparently the software used to do it on these old Motorolas, were only functional with old obsolete operating systems like Windows XP. I can’t use the radio now in fear of an FCC violation of the law. I only wish that Haloid would offer programming services beyond having to buy bulk, but other than that I was happy with the actual condition of the Motorola HT1000.
