I found that I was waking up more often with aches/sore muscles (also arms would get numb, aggravated lower back), thought maybe it was the weather or that I needed a new mattress... or maybe i'm getting old. I have been moving a lot lately and have one more move left, so I decided to ditch my mattress as it was the most inconvenient item to maneuver around ( its floppy, heavy and just an upsetting experience). So I bought a hammock for a temporary solution (super easy to set up fyi). I found that I don't wake up with sore muscles, and I also don't wake up to numb limbs (maybe because I could only sleep on my back now), I wake up feeling like I actually rested. I also fall asleep quicker... I used to toss and turn until I found a comfortable position on my mattress, now I just kick the wall to rock myself a bit ... makes me feel a bit dizzy then I pass out. Like a giant baby. Boom. After a long day of being on my feet, it feels like all the tension is relieved when I kick back in it for a bit. The only problem is that I freeze at night. I've added a thin blanket on the bottom which does the trick, for a bit, until it clumps up... then I just end up dragging myself to the couch because unraveling seems to be an impossible task when your still in sleep mode. I'm excited to use it in the summer though.
