I cannot comment on whether the hamper was good, bad or indifferent as the recipient has not taken delivery of it yet.
The courier tracking details suggest that a delivery was attempted around 07:30 on 04/04/14.
I do not know whether there was a concerted effort by the courier other than a token gesture of a knock.
The hamper was supposed to be a surprise and unless I contact the intended recipient to make enquiries with the depot where the item is being held, she may not know. Needless to say, the surprise will be ruined.
This problem arises because this company cannot arrange a delivery on a weekend when most people are in.
Unless this is resolved satisfactorily, I do not envisage using this retailer again and nor would I recommend it to anyone else.
Update: 10/04/14 - After I contacted Hampergifts, they made a concerted effort to contact the intended recipient which resulted in the gift being picked up from where it was being held.
The gift was very well received and went down a real treat so in the end everything worked out well.
I still think weekend delivery would resolve a lot of issues but I cannot commend the support staff at Hampergifts enough for remedying the situation. I consider that to be exemplary customer service.
