One thought: I had kept this as a surprise and I was lucky in that delivery was fairly early on in the day and the recipient just happened to be in. Although you made provision for him being out (by stating that a note would be put through the letterbox to advise where to go to collect it), it would have been more convenient for him if your booking form had included a text box - like this - where I could have added extra instructions advising of a 'safe place' actually on the premises where the hamper could have been left instead.
