I wish I had read reviews of Hermes "Luxury goods'" - before buying an apple Hermes watch. The strap showed abnormal wear and I contacted Apple under the AppleCare warranty I had purchased. They directed me to this so called Luxury brand -who first of all said they did not guarantee watch straps beyond 6 months. When I pointed my rights under UK and Euy consumer protection law and that the very limited warranty should have been drawn ti my attention at the time of purchase they agreed to repair the strap. I left at their Selfridge's concession and the gentlman who booked it in agreed that the damage looked as being due to a manufacturing flaw. I wasted Saturday traveling in to central London when I was told it was ready for collection. I went in to find the strap had not been repaired bt re-coloured. Unfortunately it looked as though it had been painted in cheap black matt paint. I wasted 1/2 hour taking to someone in their Selfridges shop on the phone. Her position was that I did not know how to look after luxury branded goods,. Very arrogant. when I asked for the details of their in house legal team she said I would not sue over a watch strap. Very arrogant ! I would have better off buying Hermes branded products from a stall in the Patpong Night market in Bangkok - it would have been more reliable!
