I’ve purchased a leather belt from Hermès recently. After a couple of uses, the stitching started to break off. My belt was reversible and I’ve worn it with black color outside but the black paint has already come off and showing beige color inside. The belt itself is bending already and you can see it’s compressed together with three layers of thin leather. The buckle was silver color and has scratch marks on it already and very easily marked. I am totally in disbelief how Hermès belt could be in such poor quality. I emailed customer service and they asked me to return the belt so they can send it over to France to get assessed before making any decision on whether the product is faulty. The belt is paid in full but they wanted it back without any replacement and couldn’t advise me how long it would take to send my belt back. It’s quite extraordinary that they just keep emailing me back with the same requests when I asked to speak to the compliant department.
