Went to Scotland July 2024. Booked a specific car from hertz months before my trip. Upon arrival, they lied and pressured me into taking their car insurance claiming mines doesn’t cover. They gave me a car I didn’t book! Electric and that’s not at all what I booked, they claimed mines wasn’t available. Anyway, got one tiny chip on the windshield which is supposed to be covered and they even told me that it’s covered. Got back to Canada and boom!!! $800 was taken from my credit card without notice or consent. It’s quite disgusting to have to deal with being lied to and ripped off on your very first day to a country you’ve spent so much money on to visit.
