Many years ago I had a pair of super-comfortable perforated slip ons which I'd bought in a little shop near the Pyranees after I'd admired the footwear worn by the venerable old gents playing petanque in the town square. Doubtless the shop is now long-gone....
The perforated Farty Post Sport Perforated Canvas I found online are every bit as good for avoiding hot feet - and they go in the washing machine.
This is my second pair. My only niggle is that you can't buy them in Beige anymore.
