These are great shoes sturdy enough for walking but not as heavy as trainers, obviously they are not suitable for very rough terrain but for general walking, beach, field etc they are ideal. The special sculptured insoles take the pain out of walking have also purchased a replacement set of insoles so I can always have a fresh pair (they are washable). Very pleased with purchase
