I have had Meniers disease for over 15 years and I became extremely deaf in one ear. I have had an NHS aid but I found it difficult to use. When I got my Oticon Open aid the difference was incredible. For the first time in many years I was able to hear everything that was going on around me and it doesn't need adjusting. It is also Bluetooth so I can connect to my mobile. The initial settings were close but after a couple of weeks it was adjusted and now it's perfect. The back up service is also very good. The device is not cheap but you get what you pay for. For me it's the perfect solution.
