The gentleman who came to see me was very friendly and helped me to understand exactly what he was doing and why. He did tell me my hearing was definitely going, well I supposed I had sort of guessed, although as he said we always blame the other person, in this case the actors on t.v. I did say that they mumbled and didn't articulate properly and he said that was what he meant! He also said that I wouldn't go deaf immediately but it would happen slowly, so I was reassured.
