A great two days working with Wayne and the boys but got to admit it was eek ! When the disc cutter went into the roof of my T5. The result though is worth it. The advantage of the roof raising high at the rear of the van has totally changed my mind on the kitchen pack and rock and roll bed and have decided to be different from the rest. Will be visiting the trade stands at this summers shows with my scribbled drawings and then finish the build in the winter. The T5 is a family project and everyone is very impressed with roof, even friends who own fully converted vans can see the advantage of the extra space coupled with the long wheel base. My one mate remarked " When the roofs up you could go into the Giraffe removal business " The roof raises so high though you have to watch out for trees on camp sites, but stows as if it is a normal van and gets under the height barriers at car parks and wild life parks with no bother.
