I love the store (Salisbury, MD) and the workers there but for this one employee. He is a short middle aged bold man that always looks as if he hates his job and is never nice to any customer. Today I walked in with my mom into the fitting room to try a few items
on. He was standing there and was
talking on the radio. I looked at him once and pointed at my mom’s items hoping to get an answer or to be acknowledged. I didn’t want to interrupt his conversation. Also, usually there isn’t anyone at their fitting rooms so after my second try to make an eye contact with him and unsuccessful one again I told my mom
to procede into a room. The man clearly did not not want to be bothered as he looked away. As soon as my mom
headed into the room he asked how many items we had and said we needed to check in. I tried to explain to him I tried to ask him and he was busy on his radio and that there wasn’t an associate usually there so we proceeded. He was quiet. I noticed he was heading out from the spot shortly after and I asked him if we needed to check out later as he was clearly leaving his duty at the moment. He said yes and that someone would be there. There were 3 more customers that came in after us and there was no longer an associate to check them in. When my mom
was done there wasn’t anyone to check us out either. Quite interesting logic and customer service. I try to avoid going there when I see that man working and will keep on doing the same. He needs to find his other calling than being a customer service employee. He lacks basic skills for this job.
