We love Hoffman Academy in our home! I play the piano, but I remember years of struggle, trying to master sheet music and finger position, not so with Hoffman. We have two lifetime memberships for our 10yo and 8yo sons. Our 6yo son plays some of the early songs just from listening to his brothers. My 10yo learned so well to play by ear that he immediately corrects any mistakes he makes and plays mostly from memory. He loves the extras that Mr. Hoffman puts out and is proficient at the Star Wars songs, We Don't Talk About Bruno, etc. At Christmas time this past year, my 10yo even played the Christmas carols for our family to sing along too! It's a thorough program as far as music theory, but it's also really fun for my boys which makes all the difference in them wanting to practice.
