Beware of them !!!
I have had a very bitter experience with holiday autos and Sixt combined. Booked a vehicle for 2 weeks from Manchester airport. Email said I had to take my licence, credit card and passport. On arrival I was asked for a second proof of address by Sixt which I did not have on me. As a result they cancelled my booking and left me high and dry late at night and refused to give a car. I did manage to get my credit card bill as second proof of address after about 30 minutes but I was told by Sixt guy that he had already cancelled my booking stating I had failed the address check.
I then contacted holiday autos. They did not answer the phone despite me being on phone for 30 mins. I sent them messages on twitter which were responded to the next day stating that I would not get any refund as it was my fault for not producing the second proof of address.
I feel like I have been conned by both Holiday autos and Sixt together. I have lost £300 as a result of a small technicality. Holiday autos refused to refund anything or cancel the booking. I feel like I have paid them for car and added insurance for nothing.
I would never use holiday autos or Sixt ever again. Previous experience with Hertz was very good and smooth without all the fuss of 2nd proof of address.
