Can’t believe I didn’t check out these reviews before I booked as I could have saved myself a LOT of grief and cost! Booked a rental car for Zakynthos, Greece and when we arrived to collect the car we were told the booking was cancelled- they call it a No Show. We were only 1 hour and 15 minutes later than the time I’d booked but actually even if you arrive 1 minute after the collection time then they close the booking and mark it as a No Show. The local car provider are totally in on this, they told us that we would be refunded for our deposit and we’d get an email from Holiday Autos within 24 hours confirming everything. We never received the email and or a refund. I am taking this up with my credit card company. The local provider, Add Car, then offered us another car which cost double what I’d booked originally. Rather than waste any more of our precious holiday time, we rented the car from them, sucking up the additional cost on the understanding that we’d at least get our deposit refunded. They then told us we had to make sure the car was totally clean, inside and out when we returned it! No sand at all, we were warned! We were on a beach holiday! Who ever heard of having to valet a rental car. Anyway we’ve learned our lesson- I hope this helps spread the word about the sly tactics and totally inflexible, hidden policy’s that these 2 companies employ. Do not use!!!
