I wouldnt even give them 1* review! The booking process was simple enough. However, we arrived in Valencia after a very early morning flight with two young kids, exhausted. When we got to the rental desk, they didn't have our reservation. After -5 minutes the desk clerk (i must add that the Alamo staff are so friendly and helpful), realised that our reservation had been made to collect our car from the train station in the centre of Valencia. We had booked for Valencia airport, and knew we hadn't made a mistake, and even proved this by going on the holiday autos website and went through the steps to make a new booking, and the train station doesn't even come up as an option, so how could we have booked it. They had no automatic cars there that could fit us all in with our luggage.
After an hour of the airport staff talking to the train station staff, we were told that we had to travel there to collect our car, which was a 20 minute drive. Luckily the staff arranged a lift in two cars, from their friends who drove us and our luggage there. When we arrived the staff were amazing and so helpful, but the only car they had for us was a Qashqai, which we gave at home and know we cannot safely fit everything in to. We had purposely chosen a more expensive class of car, to ensure it was big enough for our needs, and had even emailed Holiday Autos to confirm this after we booked.
As there was no other option, we had to squeeze our two kids in between suitcases and drive with almost zero visibility for 40 minutes on motorways and winding roads, seriously unsafe and scary!
I messages Holiday autos through the Resolver website, as i couldn't find any contacr for complaints for them online.
After two days of emailing back and forth, they agreed to escalate the case with higher management and told me i would hear back from them. I have no returned from my holiday and hear nothing. I emailed again today only to be told my case had been closed, without them even bothering to apologise or compensate us.. When I objected and demanded they reopen the case, i was told that once higher management closed the case, that was it.
I am shocked and to be honest disgusted that such a well known company can treat customers this way and get away with it.
Don't touch them a with a barge pole, even if they offer the cheapest rate!!
