Booking Issue with HomeToGo - Urgent Resolution Needed
Message:
I booked a holiday home in Italy through HomeToGo. Their listing originally stated that the property had air conditioning, which was a crucial factor for our booking (due to aging dog and expected heat wave). Upon re-checking the advert months later, I noticed this amenity had been removed from the booking and no one had contacted me. I was just lucky to find it before i travelled. HomeToGo confirmed it was written there as a mistake that they have since removed.
With my departure date approaching, HomeToGo has not provided a satisfactory solution - they are giving me reason for why they need to contact the managing agents, and whatever else.
I need air conditioning for dog-health reasons and I am requesting they either:
1. They place a portable AC unit in the property (very reasonable as these devices are not excellent)
2. An alternative accommodation with air conditioning and similar in all other ways.
3. Very serious compensation for the lack of this amenity as I will be limited to what i can do as the dog will need to be watched more than we planned.
I have already contacted customer service, but the response has been nothing useful, inadequate, and not showing any signs that they plan to solve it.
I urge HomeToGo to address this issue promptly to avoid further inconvenience and escalation.
One saving grace so far, is that the customer service staff i have dealt with have been somewhat avaliable and very polite.
