My initial reaction was favourable with helpful chat and confirmation of an appointment and the gardener's details including arrival time. When the arrival time needed to be changed it would have been good to say this was because a personal emergency had arisen for our gardener ( which proved to be the case) rather than the information I was sent which implied he was called away to an emergency job, i.e. a job with a higher priority than mine. When I agreed to a later appointment subsequent communications to me (and I believe to the gardener) were totally confusing. The original time was 9:00 to 9:30, the agreed new time was 1:00 to 1:30, but the confirmatory emails said 9:00 to 10:00. Fortunately, when Antony Atkins arrived his approach and work were both excellent. With this combination of experiences it as difficult to decide on a single star rating which if I could have split it the ratings would have been initial contact 4 stars, subsequent communication 1 star, gardener and his work 5 stars.
