Run. Dont use them. My experience was bad! Read the negative reviews so you know what you are getting into.
I intended to buy a $2500 Marriott Gift Card for my wife's 60th birthday so she could use it at the spa of a local Marriott brand hotel. Somehow I ended up on Hotelgift.com. I purchased the gift card there thinking it was Marriott's gift card site. While I take some responsibility, I think their internet strategy interrupted my path.
In any case, I cant use the gift card where I intended to. The local hotel is not on hotelgift's site. So I communicated to get a refund (30ish days later). They have very perfumy responses that sound nice pointing to policies/terms/conditions, but their policies are money grabs, vs. helping their customers. Read all the low reviews. All of them say the same thing. Flowery responses, but they hide behind policies that are not reasonable. In their response to me, their policy is no refunds after 14 days. I didnt realize it wasn't Marriot til after 14 days. Why 14 days?
Why a 2 year fuse on gift cards? They received the money, why does it expire? It seems to profit off their customers and keep money.
Why are prices higher than what is available on the hotel's site? To take money from their customers.
This company would flourish if they treated everyone well. They have a greedy culture with greedy self-serving policies at their customer's expense. RUN!
