I purchased two luxury super-king duvet covers. Both arrived after about one week and one of them (DKNY) is enormous, FAR too large for a UK super-king duvet. I requested to send it back and was told via email only that I had to pay for the return of the item, even though it has been sent as a faulty item or indeed an item that has not been quality checked and is unfit for purpose in UK.
I asked for a number to speak with someone and was told (by reply email) that House of Fraser have no telephone operators or customer service people and no such customer service anymore, everything is done by email as if you were buying from an internet shed or online dealer. I expressed how unsatisfactory this was and how I do not choose to buy from online sheds and always prefer to support quality retailers like HOF or so I thought.
It seems that HOF has changed to an unrecognisable standard of what they once were and I will pay to have my product returned just as I paid to receive it (which was very odd compared to other quality retailers).
This will be the last purchase I make from HOF, I was once a regular client.
