We have started to plan our kitchen in March 2021 our kitchen been finished April 2022.
We do understand it been tricky couple of years with many sets back. However, the service which we have received was beyond poor. Once we have planned our kitchen, we had preinstallation person come in to take measurements. After the installer guy came to have a look at the kitchen and take measurements. I believe it was June 2021 . We were happy to go ahead book installation (at that point was supposed to be September October) Unfortunately we were not able to do so as parts of the kitchen were not available. Once parts become available we were able to book installation date. We been given installation date for January.
At that point we were frustrated as it been taken months so we wanted to cancelled the whole order. I called in and asked to cancelled the order the person said they will see what they can do and if they can bring the date forward. When she got back to me she said the order ( whole of the kitchen will be deliver 29th August ) and the installation will happen first week in September . Days to go to September nobody got back to be so I tried to chase up. I got answer it was a mistake and the installation is still happening in January .
So I called again to cancelled. Again I was told they will bring the installation forward. So they did to December. The installer guy came . Checked the measurements and said its wrong. How frustrating. Me again trying to contact ikea to sort out the issue. It took several emails once I got an answer. At that stage part of the order was already delivered which wasn't convenient to have a desk top in the small house with a crawling baby .
The installation was story on its on.
Our breakfast bar was not existing. The long door on one of the cupboard were four half's. Parts of the kitchen and the water tap been poorly fitted. One of the electrical socket is not in working order since the installation. I am not mentioning parts of the order were missing or haven't been added to our order. I contacted customer service several times just to be told they will deal with everything once is finished. Once everything been finished I called up again just to be told I need to fill up feedback form. I filled up feed back form twice, nobody got back to us. I went to the IKEA store two months ago, hoping they be able to help me. Two months later still no answer no sorry for the bad service or money off from the service provided. Which we been told it will happen once everything is finished.
