Do NOT ever arrange for delivery from IKEA. This is the second time I have had a delivery fail from ikea and the company they hire for delivery. Today the window was 1-5pm and I had to call them at 5:10pm to see whether they were ever coming. The “customer service” said they would call me back and did not. I called again at 7pm and was put on hold for 25 minutes. Then when I finally got hold of a person, she was rude, dismissive and suggested I wait again while they “look into this”. I asked her to call me back instead of being on hold as I needed to put my toddler to bed. After 5 minutes of listening to her ramble, I finally repeated my request and hung up. She phoned me back about 15 minutes later - now 7:45pm or so, and said the driver was hard to reach and would be here in maybe 1.5 hours????!!!! No.
Then I said, have them bring it tomorrow as their first delivery in the 1pm slot. She said no, they can’t. So now it should come on Friday and there is no time guarantee. After I asked for minimum a refund on delivery, she said okay. We’ll see if that happens. When I raised the fact that I took time off work to be hone for the delivery she said, “well get it delivered on a day you don’t work.”
I am done. This is too much. When did our world become so disregarding and corporate powered. There is no recourse for me, as they have my money and I have no items. Shame
