As most of the reviews here - I placed an order May 5 2020 and it is still being “prepared”. It is paid for via PayPal and the amount taken is more than the total on the invoice! I tried to call at 9:00 am sharp and was still holding after 2 hours. No indication as to my call priority sequence etc. as most customer centric businesses have. I tried pressing “1” for before sales help - same thing. I wanted to cancel the order, but the only way is to call customer service!!! I am a Client Service Manager (now retired) and this is unconscionable “service”. IKEA has had over 3 months to ramp up and fix their miserably poor service options. I truly believe that there is no one taking calls. You are just put on hold and the hope is the customer will hand up and go away. You can’t even call Canadian Head Office - the number given is the same as the customer service number. It isn’t all that difficult to reprogram the call centre systems to be more customer friendly. Just a few keystrokes. What needs to happen is for management to take some calls. Then to add insult to injury, there are so many apologies etc. and suggestions to use email. So, after composing my email, and pressing “send”, guess what! A message that they have closed the email contact due to the volumes! I can’t believe this, especially from a company that had been leading edge in their marketing and sales! And forget click and collect. The online order form asks for your delivery choice and there is only one option that I can find - delivery! No click and collect. When you go to instructions, you are just shown the procedure for when you arrive at the store. I am sending a letter by snail mail but I’m sure it will not be answered, probably not even opened. So, what to do? I guess I will not shop there in the future. I wish there were an option for negative stars for reviews - this would be negative 100! But, in the end, they don’t care because people will just keep shopping there. Too bad.
