My experience with Illuminated Mirrors was absolutely terrible. I set my heart on 360 Edge mirror cabinet in the value of over £800 and I contacted the sales team because I wanted to discuss the item with them. The mirror would be fitted in the recess and I needed their expertise. I contacted them, I set up a video call with one of their sales people but when the time of the call was to take place, they never showed up. I wrote to them, I reached via online chat but none of my requests were answered. As I really liked the product I went and ordered it anyways in first week of June for a deliver on 11th July. The instructions were very clear: delivery with DHL, signature at the time of delivery is necessary. I arranged my electrician, I took a time off from work to wait for the item. On July 10th I received an email from their Customer services (after I contacted them just to confirm the delivery) advising me that there is a delay in production and they will deliver it a week later. Again I took a day off, again I rearranged the electrician.... only for the item to be partially delivered. I contacted them again, and they blame it on DHL... DHL blamed it on Illuminated Mirrors.
I spoke to Jason from their customer services (they are not in UK but outsourced to another country) and Jason could not be less helpful even if he tried. Everything was: "I need to check", "I need to see".... I could not get hold of anyone based in UK. Finally after many calls and emails I managed to get in contact with Solomon. By that time, my item has been delivered and for all the "inconvenience" caused he was offering me around £45 refund. The cost of the item was £880 and twice the electrician that I had to cancel due to failed delivery and three days from work because of failed delivery. I did not take the offer of the refund because this was just a simple insult to an injury.
In the process of installation of the mirror-cabinet, the left door got broken so I had to order another one. This was not fault of Illuminated Mirrors however their service again was extremely poor and it only comes to show that their customer service is consistently bad and that they are constantly giving falls promises to the customer. I ordered the door on Thursday, I was assured that the doors were dispatched and will be delivered on Friday. I took a day off (again) and I contacted my electrician. Doors never came on Friday, they didn't come on Saturday nor Monday. I contacted the company again.... they said to me that they will check and see and it will be delivered on Tuesday..... That was another lie because the doors finally arrived on Wednesday (they have a 24h delivery).
At the same time I am still discussing with Solomon regarding the poor customer service, regarding the no show of the sales team, the lack of guidance, and that all this resulted in me ordering a mirror cabinet that did not fit in my recess. Solomon, without any ounce of professionalism advised me that whatever I am stating they have no record off and that basically I do not have any right to ask for compensation. I did not accept their "good will gesture", I wanted the professional service. Just as their founder, Mr. Jamie Bell clearly stated on their website. All this is "smoke and mirrors".
Unfortunately this entire experience costed me a lot of money, days off, frustration and agitation. I could not use the item I originally ordered, and despite their horrible service I did not have much option but to order another mirror cabinet but in a smaller size (additional cost of £700+).
I have to say that their product is really good, nice and elegant but their service is diabolical and lack of customer support is telling. For £800 for a mirror cabinet, customer should be treated better, with honesty and integrity. This company, with Mr. Bell, Solomon and Jason is only delivering on false promises, is treating a clients extremely unprofessionally, accusing clients of lying and making clients feel unworthy of their product. I will not suggest or recommend or speak about this company in any positive light and I will highly advise for you to do your research and take your hard working money elsewhere. This product is really nice, but their customer service is diabolical and people are disrespectful and unprofessional. If I was purchasing a low ticket item I could understand but for their price tag clients should be treated with more respect. If you value your money stay away from them.
