I purchased a drum unit for my Brother printer a few months ago. Those drum units supposedly have lifetime warranty. My previous (original Brother) drum unit lasted for years. Now I had to replace your drum unit only after a few thousand pages; it lasted less time than a cartridge (cleaning the corona wire did not work).
Perhaps I need to return to Brother's genuine units even if they are more expensive.
