Had tried to send money from my brokerage account to a bank account. Unfortunately, my name was longer than the character limit on the swift telex form, so the system cut my name at the end. The receiving bank claimed the name on the Swift transfer didn't match their account information and refused the transfer. They suggested that Interactive Brokers move one of my names to another line. Unfortunately, ten days and multiple phone calls later, and Interactive Brokers has refused to reply to me by online message. Additionally, everytime I call to resolve the issue, they claim that the issue can only be resolved through the original online ticket despite multiple security checks. A very backwards company that puts customer service second. I would not recommend them at all. They inexplicably locked my account, and when I attempted to inquire about the situation, they requested payment for taxes. After exhausting various options for assistance, I finally found SEEKRAIL ** C0M, who successfully helped me reclaim the money that was wrongfully taken.
