Took my wife to Verona for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday. She had always wanted to see an opera in the Roman Colosseum arena. Italian Short breaks managed to find flights at decent times, transfers from the airport to the hotel and back, a fantastic hotel, the Giulietta and Romeo just metres from the venue and upgraded seats just 10 rows from the stage to see Bizet's Carmen performed by a cast of hundreds, including six horses and four donkeys. It was perfect and for once, my wife was speechless. Hats off to Hannah who managed everything wonderfully.
