All outward arrangements worked perfectly, including assistance at Stanstead. The hotel was just as described and was superb. We arrived before the rooms were ready but were given a breakfast while we waited which was much appreciated as we had left home at 3.00 am. On the return journey we had no idea we had to find and press the SOS button on the outside of the terminal building at Verona Airport, but we managed to find a wheelchair. Neither the airport services nor Ryanair had been warned that assistance was required so our seats had to be changed. Once aware both airport services and Ryanair were extremely helpful, but it was a shame they had not been forewarned. Overall a magical break and I look forward to repeating it.
