I have always disliked having breakfast first thing in the morning and it was starting to affect my weight and overall mood (i was hangry most mornings and I ended up eating way more midday than if I had eaten breakfast). I wasn't consistent enough to consider myself to be intermittent fasting and I needed something quick, convenient and nutritious. I first tried the Plenny Shake active (vanilla) and I was surprised on how easy it was to make! Literally takes 1 minute. It took me a few days for my body to get used to it though, and I definitely wouldn't recommend to have more than one shake per day at the beginning if you're not used to meal replacement shakes. I had a headache on the first day I had 2 shakes (morning and evening) and I was feeling a little bloated but after a few days I got used to it and I don't have problems anymore. I think it also takes a bit getting used to drinking a meal instead of eating it. The vanilla flavor is good because it's very mild. It tastes more oaty and not too sweet. Perfect! It takes some minutes for my stomach to receive the message that I'm full but I don't feel hungry for a couple of hours. After watching a review video of all the flavors on YouTube (a bald guy with glasses), i decided to get the Apple and Cinnamon one and I can say it's good! It's pretty oaty and the apple flavor is very subtle but it doesn't have like a fake or synthetic flavor. I also decided to give the Plenny Bars a try and I think I have found the product that is just right for me. I went for the flavor mix box just so i could see what I liked ( i really wish they had some similar option with the shakes...maybe a pack of individual size bags so you can sample the flavors?). Anyway, was surprised how filling they are!! I change the shakes in the morning for a bar and a cup of coffee some days and I enjoy it very much. Lately I've been having a bar at around 9 or 10 am and I'm pretty comfortable (not hungry) until like 2 or 3pm. Here's my review of the Plenny Bar flavors: SALTED CARAMEL: best one in my opinion. It's almost like a yummy dessert without it being too sweet. ALMOND AND FIG: close second favorite for me. The almonds add a really nice texture and the fig adds sweetness. Super good! CHOCOLATE: Can't go wrong with chocolate. VANILLA: tastes the same as the Plenny Shake active, so the flavor is good but it not be the most exciting option. CHERRY and MOCHA: I didn't get much flavor from these two options but I have to say that they are pleasant and filling. APPLE STRUDEL: This has been the only flavor that I wouldn't recommend as much because there's something about it that tastes fake or synthetic. You get the apple aftertaste but something about it tastes weird to me. Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase and have already subscribed to receive the Plenny bars so I'm never out!
